Mid Cheshire Branch Meeting – Food Law
As a beekeeper are you fully aware of the legal requirements related to selling your hive products? We are most fortunate that one of our members, Jay Moran, knows a great deal about this subject because it is part of his job and Jay has kindly agreed to give an informal general talk on beekeeping and food law at our next branch meeting.
The talk will be presented from a trading standards/environmental health perspective and, together with an introduction of what Jay’s role involves, he will describe what beekeepers need to do when selling their products and discuss some related topics. Jay believes that his talk should also be of interest to members who do not sell their hive products and, in addition to the normal Q&A session immediately after the talk, he has kindly offered to provide more detailed assistance to any member who wishes to contact him privately at a later date.
